If you want to recieve cells undetected:
-keep phone in pocket when around using silence with vibration
-if ringtone volume gradualy increase at begining, ringtone has more chance of being undetected
-vibration first and melody afterward setting is more "stealth"
a."Sound of truck driving backwards" may be pretty undetectable
mosquito sound will be heard only by young people
maybe there is a fly sound around..or some other environmental sound like plane, etc..
b.another ambiental sound is car horn, or "truck riverse driving beeps"
-do you want to respond to call with affection of ringtone?
some ringtones make people happy, nervous, etc.
Mainly affection will have ringtones with lyrics.
Never use a ringtone that will make people say:don't answer leave ringtone:)
-do you want to access phone as quickly as it ring?
there are "relaxing" melodies and melodies that make you jump (quick tune)
-how long does ringtone last?
want to hear occasional beep even after an hour or so? (motorola c550 had that function that beeped after missed call like if it would be empty battery)
For serious ringtones on other cell phone files rather than "mtv melodies".
Newer phones should have better melodies.
